Metis: Metis is an Ethereum scaling environment with its own network and token representations.
On the source side, Verify the asset representation and contract on the selected Avalanche network. On the destination side, Verify the token contract on Metis.
Compare Avalanche transaction costs with route and destination costs before consolidating small balances. On Metis, Compare L2 gas with bridge and liquidity costs.
Before You Bridge
- Source: confirm the asset is actually held on Avalanche.
- Destination: confirm the wallet and destination network.
- Token: verify the exact asset representation rather than relying on ticker or logo.
- Costs: compare gas, bridge fees, liquidity, price impact and the final received amount.
- Security: Confirm the network and contract before interacting with unfamiliar assets. At the destination, Confirm network and transaction details before signing.
