Aptos: Aptos uses the Move ecosystem and has asset conventions that differ from EVM networks.
On the source side, Verify the token contract on Base and do not rely on ticker or logo alone. On the destination side, Verify the network-specific asset representation and account details.
Consider Base transaction costs together with bridge and route costs when moving small balances. On Aptos, Compare network costs with any route or destination costs before moving small balances.
Before You Bridge
- Source: confirm the asset is actually held on Base.
- Destination: confirm the wallet and destination network.
- Token: verify the exact asset representation rather than relying on ticker or logo.
- Costs: compare gas, bridge fees, liquidity, price impact and the final received amount.
- Security: Use trusted interfaces and verify destination network and token before signing. At the destination, Confirm the destination and transaction effects before signing.
