BNB Smart ChainBase

Network-specific checks before a cross-chain transaction.

BNB Smart Chain and Base have separate network contexts. A cross-chain route must account for the source environment, destination environment and the mechanism used to transfer or represent the asset.

Route Intelligence

Source network

BNB Smart Chain: BNB Smart Chain is an EVM-compatible network with its own BEP-20 token representations.

Destination network

Base: Base is an Ethereum Layer 2 environment with its own network balances, applications and token representations.

Asset considerations

On the source side, Verify BEP-20 contracts and distinguish legitimate assets from unsolicited tokens. On the destination side, Verify the token contract on Base and do not rely on ticker or logo alone.

Fee considerations

Network transaction costs are only one part of the route; compare the complete cost before moving small balances. On Base, Consider Base transaction costs together with bridge and route costs when moving small balances.

Before You Bridge

  • Source: confirm the asset is actually held on BNB Smart Chain.
  • Destination: confirm the wallet and destination network.
  • Token: verify the exact asset representation rather than relying on ticker or logo.
  • Costs: compare gas, bridge fees, liquidity, price impact and the final received amount.
  • Security: Treat unexpected tokens and unfamiliar approvals cautiously and verify contracts before interacting. At the destination, Use trusted interfaces and verify destination network and token before signing.
Never use a seed phrase or private key to complete a bridge. A legitimate bridge flow should not require either.

Use the Live Bridge Tool

When a live route is available, open Dust Sweeper and review the current quote immediately before signing. Route availability, liquidity and network conditions can change.
