Mantle: Mantle is an Ethereum-compatible scaling environment with its own network balances and applications.
Base: Base is an Ethereum Layer 2 environment with its own network balances, applications and token representations.
On the source side, Confirm the token representation on Mantle before interacting with it. On the destination side, Verify the token contract on Base and do not rely on ticker or logo alone.
Compare the complete route cost rather than looking only at the bridge fee. On Base, Consider Base transaction costs together with bridge and route costs when moving small balances.
Before You Bridge
- Source: confirm the asset is actually held on Mantle.
- Destination: confirm the wallet and destination network.
- Token: verify the exact asset representation rather than relying on ticker or logo.
- Costs: compare gas, bridge fees, liquidity, price impact and the final received amount.
